Matt has been part of the Silicon Valley technology industry from the pre-Internet boom to today's on-demand economy. He has held leadership roles at high growth technologies companies and executed on strategic and operating plans. He built products that went from whiteboard to revenues through worldwide distribution channels for SBM to Fortune 100 customers.  

Matt co-founded and was VP Products of PacketTrap Networks, a IT network monitoring and management software for mid-sized businesses and managed service providers (MSP). PacketTrap was funded by August Capital and acquired by Quest Software NASDAQ: QSFT (now part of Dell).

Jumping into his first startup, Matt was an initial team member and VP Products at Lasso Logic, the first onsite appliance to offsite datacenter continuous data protection solutions for IT departments of companies. Lasso Logic was funded by Outlook Ventures and acquired by SonicWALL NASDAQ: SNWL (also now part of Dell).

Before his time as an entrepreneur, Matt was a Venture Capitalist at Woodside Fund. The firm was one of the first Silicon Valley venture capital funds focused on seed and early stage technology investments. Portfolio companies of the firm included Aristos Logic (acquired by Adaptec), Berkeley Design (acquired by Mentor Graphics), Borderware (acquired by WatchGuard), Accel Graphics (acquired by Evans & Sutherland), STI (acquired by Novell) and HotRail (acquired by Conexant).
